I know this gallery states it doesn't allow stuff you haven't drawn itself. I see traced stuff from spirit bases and from screenies all in this gallery. LOL *hides in foxhole cuz some folks might get pissy*

We try our best to catch that stuff as it goes it, and some of it might be overflow from before that rule was made. Some people are weirdly good at referencing screenshots, too, so it can tough to tell that apart from people who are actually tracing.

What if they state to another person that they do mostly trace their spirit artwork?

If you note us with a link to that exchange and tell us who it is, then we will remove all their work from the gallery.

"spirit style" was produced at first by his creator -James Baxter and after that a lot of spirit fans followed his style of drawing horses

Oh, of course. This is a group for Spirit fans and Spirit-style only, so that would only make sense. :giggle: But I can assure you that the artists whose work is featured in our gallery and our mods and admins too have been influenced by a wide variety of artists to develop their own personal style. :) It would be unfair to say we all draw "spirit-style" and we're all following in Baxter's footsteps when, of course, he wasn't the first to draw a cartoon horse with eyebrows. Many of us were inspired to draw cartoon horse characters by the beautiful artwork in the movie, and this group is an homage to the work of Dreamworks's animators who brought Kathleen Duey's book series to life.
